Budapest - Day 1

Yesterday we arrived in the evening and after getting some groceries found a good place for a beer.

Here we are - We’re pink!

Today was our first full day in Budapest 

We really know nothing about this city - We’re following trusty Rick Steves and ended up bouncing around to a lot of different places - Lots and lots of walking.

We started by walking up the Adrassy Boulevard which is designed similar to the Champs Elysee. We learned about composer Franz Liszt and the music academy he started. Here he is playing an invisible piano.

Then we ended up at Heroes Square celebrating many great Hungarian leaders.

We visited Budapest’s version of Central Park which has a Transylvanian Castle in it...

Time for lunch at the Great Food Market

After -we jumped on a Streetcar without the right ticket and totally got busted!

We ended the day touring the Opera House with an actual performance- Which was super cool even though I didn’t understand one word!

Now off for to dinner!
